Samsung Galaxy · 2025 · Current model
The Galaxy S25 Ultra came out in 2025 with a 6.9-inch screen of 1440 × 3120 pixels: a 19.5:9 aspect ratio at 498 pixels per inch. That is one of the sharpest phone screens made, so a wallpaper needs every one of those pixels to look crisp.
Phones with a QHD+ screen like this one often come set to a lower FHD+ resolution to save battery. Make the wallpaper at the full 1440 × 3120 anyway: the phone scales it down cleanly, and it stays sharp if you switch to full resolution.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy S26+, Galaxy S25 Edge, and Galaxy S25+ use the same 1440 × 3120 resolution, so one wallpaper fits them all.

The exact size of the screen. Use it for both.

Both screens show the wallpaper at the same size, but different things sit on top of it.

1440 × 3120 pixels, the native resolution of its 6.9-inch screen. Use the same size for the lock screen and the home screen.
19.5:9. The screen is 1440 pixels wide and 3120 pixels tall, so an image with a different shape is cropped at the edges when you set it.
Yes. A 4K portrait image (2160 × 3840) has more pixels than the Galaxy S25 Ultra shows, so it stays sharp, but its 16:9 shape doesn't match the 19.5:9 screen, so part of it is cropped. Fit it to 1440 × 3120 first to choose what stays.
Usually the image is smaller than 1440 × 3120 or a different shape, so the phone enlarges it to fill the screen. Make it at the exact size with the tool on this page, and start from the original photo, not a screenshot or a copy sent through a chat app.
Usually not. Most launchers keep the wallpaper still, so 1440 × 3120 fills it exactly. If yours slides the wallpaper as you swipe between pages, use 2880 × 3120 instead.
