Valentine's Day 2027 falls on Sunday, February 14, 2027. It is named after Saint Valentine, a Roman martyr, and has been a day for lovers since the Middle Ages: in the 14th century, the poet Geoffrey Chaucer wrote of birds choosing their mates on Saint Valentine's Day.
Today it is celebrated with cards, flowers and dinners in most of the world, and in Finland and Estonia it is a day for friends as much as for couples.
